THE TIME AND ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
(SYSTEM REJESTRACJI CZASU PRACY, RCP)
The RCP System solves the supervision problems over the recording of working time, overtime, processing, delays, service exits and all absences (the diseases, delegations, vacation and other) in the easy way, ensuring emission of many summary, filtering and other printouts.
The system helps in discipline improvement, in the security improvement as well as in reduction of labor costs.
General information
Computer aided The Time And Attendance System greatly simplifies all activities related to working time recording. It meets the Employment Code requirements referred to working time documentation, as well as employer expectations. The Time And Attendance System is designed for every size companies, every activities, every work mode of employees. Its operation is based on devices called controllers, card readers, proximity cards and specialized software. Basic electronic equipment of the system is the controller, with usually two proximity card readers connected (ENTRY/EXIT). The individual system elements can be placed in arbitrary distance and can be connected by specially designed connection RS 485, by existing computer network or by telephone line. The system structure causes that it is resistant to disturbances and defects. The passage controllers have own memory, in which all information on staff authorizations are stored. It stores also information on events. Even after network computer turning off, traffic on passages is realized without disturbances.
The system checks also installation soundness and informs about possible abnormalities.
It should be emphasized that the system does not make more difficult in no way the movement on the working area. The proximity card reader is the only system device, the worker has the contact with. No push buttons need to be pressed by the passing person. It is enough to approach the identity card to the card reader at the entrance to certain operating area. The information included in proximity cards can be read over the distance up to 15 cm.

Functional description of the System
Every employee entering the plant, exiting or passing from one division to another, approaches his own identification card with unique number to the card reader for reading out.
The controller stores the unique number together with time and date of reading as well as type of event (for example, entry/exit, private service, etc.).
The controller sends the information to computer memory for processing by computer program RCP. The operator communicates with the system by computer with licensed software RCP. Using the software it is possible to make all operations related to employees data introduction, data modification, work schedule creation, introduction of holidays, working groups, absence calculation as well as other operations described in system functions. The program enables also creation of all type summaries and reports (daily, monthly, yearly).
Continuous work of the system is not necessary. The feature characterizing the system is so called distributed intelligence, thanks to which decisions are made on every passage by the controller on basis of its own database. Working time recorders can be used as access control readers, they can also co-operate with any actuator device (gate, lock bolt, tripod, etc.). In case the time and attendance system is connected with access control system, the operator can define areas accessible for different workers groups or individual persons.
It is also possible to define the time of access do chosen rooms or areas. From chosen rooms it is possible to define these ones, in which presence is calculated for the worker as the working time. Implementation of controlled passages in critical points of the plants is the necessary condition of common implementation of Working Time Recording System and Access Control System.
